Milton Point Provisions’ Holiday Cheese Puffs 

 

<Ingredients> 

½ pound grated cheddar cheese 

½ onion, grated (not chopped) 

¾ cup of mayonnaise 

One loaf of bread (Pullman recommended), sliced and toasted  

 

<Directions> 

 

Combine grated cheddar cheese, grated onion, and mayonnaise in a bowl. If it’s too dry, add a teaspoon more mayonnaise.  

Take a silver dollarsized cookie cutterabout 1½inch diameter, and cut out round pieces of loaf slices. (One slice can yield up to 5 rounds with the preferred size cookie cutter.) 

Put spread on toast rounds. Sprinkle sparingly with paprika. 

Heat under the broiler. Keep close eye on the rounds, and when they bubble up, they are done. 

Let cool, serve, and enjoy! 

Note: These can be made ahead of time and stored in a tin/freezer. Be sure to separate each layer of cheese puff rounds with plastic wrap.
