Mr. and Mrs. John Wood of Rye are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Mary Wood, to Matthew Roy Lyons, son of Marie Lyons of Cranston, R.I. and Roy Lyons of Duxbury, Mass.
The couple met at their alma mater, St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont. The bride-to-be graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and a minor in Political Science. The future groom graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in History.
The future bride is an associate director at EverFi, Inc. in Newton, Mass.
The future groom is a recruiter for The Davis Companies in Marlboro, Mass.
A 2013 wedding is planned.

Wood — Anderson
Mary Elizabeth Wood and Harold John Anderson III were married September 8 at the Atlantic Inn on Block Island, Rhode Island. The Honorable Frank C. Wood, the bride’s uncle, performed the ceremony.
The bride’s sisters, Katie and Colleen Wood, were her maids of honor. She was also attended by six bridesmaids.
The groom’s brother, Kyle Anderson, was his best man. He was also attended by seven groomsmen.
The couple met at St. Lawrence University, from which the groom graduated in 2007, and the bride cum laude in 2008.
Mrs. Anderson is an editorial assistant at Guilford Publications.
Mr. Anderson is a sales team leader for the Mid-Atlantic region at Bloomberg LP.
The bride is the daughter of John and Kathy Wood of Rye. The groom is the son of Harold and Linda Anderson Jr. of Duxbury, Massachusetts.
The newlyweds reside in Astoria, Queens.
Jaiyeola — Jahnke
Leanna Kemilola Jaiyeola and David Michael Jahnke were married August 11 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Philadelphia. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Germantown Cricket Club, also in Philadelphia.
The bride is the daughter of Adesina Jaiyeola and the late Terri Jaiyeola of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. The groom is the son of Fred and Sharon Jahnke of Rye.
The couple met as undergraduates at the University of Pennsylvania, from which they both graduated in 2009. The bride is a first grade teacher at KIPP SHINE Prep in Houston. The groom earned an MBA and a MChE from Rice University in 2011. He is a Senior Business Analyst with Schlumberger Business Consulting in Houston.
The maid of honor was Tara Jaiyeola, the bride’s twin sister. The bridesmaids were Patti Jo Jaiyeola and Diana Jaiyeola, the bride’s sisters, Jessica Jahnke, the groom’s sister, Ladonia Thomas and Erin Paletta, the bride’s friends.
The best man was Justin Jahnke, the groom’s brother. The groomsmen were Ian Cofino and Ephraim Pei, the groom’s friends from Rye, Nathan Jaiyeola, the bride’s brother, and Jared Lee and Jens von der Linden, the groom’s college friends.
The couple resides in Houston.
