Births
Amelia and Mortimer Singer announce the birth of a daughter, Alice India Sykes Singer, March 5 at New York Hospital. She weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces. She joins her sister Daisy, who is 4. Her maternal grandparents are Mary and Frederick Sykes of Rye. Her paternal grandparents, Anne and Forbes Singer, live in London.
Playing With Heart
Rye Middle Schoolers played 4 x 4 and 3 x 3 as part of the Hoops For Heart benefit event for the American Heart Association March 5.
The event raised $2,900. The seventh-grade girls, pictured above, came ready to play.
