Cacciapaglia — Neville
Ellen and Don Cacciapaglia announce the marriage of their daughter, Leslie Speth, to Colin Martin Neville, son of Susan and Martin Neville of Manhasset, New York. Surrounded by family and friends, Leslie and Colin were married on Saturday, June 1 at The Holy Redeemer Church in Chatham, Massachusetts. Reverend George Scales officiated. A celebration followed at the Chatham Bars Inn.
The bride’s sisters, Emily Cacciapaglia and Lauren Sargent, were maid and matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Claire Cacciapaglia, the bride’s sister-in-law, Brennan Joyce and Kelly Vives, childhood friends from Rye; and Elisha Barron and Daphne Miller, the bride’s college friends. The flower girls were Meghan Colello, the groom’s niece, and Ella Makin, the bride’s cousin.
The best man was Jon Colello, the groom’s brother-in-law. The groomsmen were David Cacciapaglia, brother of the bride, and Ian Cadieu, David Krueger, Marcus Ruopp, David Schecter, and David Wright, college friends of the groom.
The bride graduated from Rye High School and from Yale University. She received her Master’s in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and works as an architect at Hart Howerton in Manhattan.
The groom graduated from Manhasset High School and from Yale University. He is a vice president at The Raine Group in Manhattan.
The couple met during their senior year at Yale University. Upon graduation, they cycled across the United States with a group of classmates to raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity.
Following a honeymoon in Africa, the newlyweds returned to their home in New York City.
Smith — Tremblay
Allison Marie Smith and Sean Michael Tremblay were married on June 8 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye. A reception followed at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle.
The bride is the daughter of George and Donna Smith of Rye. She graduated from Rye High School in 2003 and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Notre Dame. Currently, she is a middle school social studies teacher at St. Monica Catholic School in Dallas.
The groom is the son of Michael and Maureen Tremblay of Poughkeepsie. He graduated from Arlington High School and St. John’s University and then served in the United States Marine Corps for seven years. Three weeks before the wedding, he graduated from Southern Methodist University’s MBA program.
The two maids of honor were the bride’s sister, Brenna Smith, who is currently a junior at Rye High School, and the bride’s sister-in-law, Audrey Smith. Bridesmaids included fellow RHS graduates Lauren Pedley and Megan Hawkins, along with Notre Dame classmate Regina Bailey and cousin-in-law Laurie Scovotti.
The best man was the groom’s brother, Ross Tremblay. Groomsmen included another brother of the groom’s, James Tremblay, along with the bride’s brothers, Brian Smith and Conor Smith, St. John’s classmate Eric Stoddard, and US Marine Corps Captain Gregory Procaccini.
The couple met in Wilmington, North Carolina, where the bride was teaching middle school social studies at Cape Fear Academy and the groom was serving as a logistics officer stationed at Marine Corps base Camp Lejeune. They relocated to Texas in August 2011, when Mr. Tremblay started business school.
The couple honeymooned in France and Iceland before returning home to Dallas.
A Golden Moment
Sylvana and Vinnie Ballantoni celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 15. Their three children, Maria, Mark, and Joe, surprised them with a dinner cruise around Manhattan. Close friends and family joined them on the dance floor and in celebration.
Cheers to the longtime Rye residents who were married at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford many moons ago.
