Nancy Bomeisler Nightingale of Rye, N.Y. died on January 3, 2021 from Covid-19. She was 83.

Born in New York City on January 29, 1937, she was the daughter of Alfred and Carolyn Bomeisler.

She and her husband, Bill Nightingale, raised their family in Rye Brook, N.Y. and lived there for 55 years before moving to The Osborn in Rye in 2015.

Nancy Nightingale will be fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit, great style, creativity, generosity, and devotion to family and friends. A talented sculptor and painter, two of her stone sculptures are on permanent display at the Rye Free Reading Room. She enjoyed volunteering at the Greenwich Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, William L. Nightingale. She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Nightingale of Katonah, N.Y. and Jill Burstein (Dan) of New Hope, Pa.; her grandchildren, Katherine McGinn (Trevor), Alison Burstein, and Sam Hettich, and a great-granddaughter, Margot McGinn, who brought her great joy. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Levy (Michael).

Mrs. Nightingale was a dedicated supporter of National Jewish Health for decades and the family would be grateful for donations to be made to the organization (https://www.nationaljewish.org/giving).
