Rye police welcomed a new officer to the department with the recent swearing in of Vincent Giacoio.
The Yonkers resident joins Rye PD as a lateral transfer after serving four years with the Mount Vernon Police Department. During his time in Mount Vernon, he served in several capacities, including as a field training officer, a member of the emergency service unit, and with the department’s task force unit.
Prior to and during his law enforcement career, Giacoio also gained valuable experience working in emergency medical services.
Public service runs in Giacoio’s family, with his mother, father, brother, and uncle all having dedicated themselves to serving their communities.
