Norma Iarocci
Norma Iarocci, a longtime resident of Rye, New York, passed away on October 12, 2018 at the age of 91.
Born in Stamford, Conn. on January 24, 1927, she was the daughter of D. Alexander and Louise (Louden) MacDonald. She grew up in Riverside, Conn. and graduated from Greenwich High School.
She and her husband, Joseph Iarocci, moved to Rye, where they raised their family. For a number of years, Mrs. Iarocci sold real estate in Rye. She was the chief bookkeeper at Rye Country Day School until her retirement.
“Our mother was a go-getter,” said her daughter Kim. “She always had a positive outlook and a smile on her face.”
An active member of Christ’s Church, Rye Recreation Seniors, and the local AARP chapter, Mrs. Iarocci also worked part-time at Greenwich Hospital.
Her favorite vacation destination was Ocean City, N.J.
Norma and Joseph Iarocci were married for close to 50 years. He predeceased her. In addition to her daughter Kim, who lives in Greenwich, she is survived by her two sons, Keith and Kent, both of Rye.
Religious services were held at Christ’s Church on October 17.
