Friends mixed and mingled at the Meeting House September 22 for a casual farm-to-table gathering celebrating the historic roots of the Bird Homestead and Meeting House.
The adjacent properties on the banks of the Blind Brook estuary include a former Episcopal chapel, a Greek Revival farmhouse, 19th-century barn, woodworking shop, and chicken coop.
Tables were set with treasured photos and produce from local farms. A rescued pig brought by a guest rolled in the grass along with sheep brought in for the occasion.
Guests walked from one property to the other to see the progress that has been made on the historic structures, before toasting the sunset.
