Shopping and dining under one umbrella has never been better and closer now that Rye Ridge Shopping Center has spruced up and added unique new stores and fun restaurants. Plus, there’s more to come. With free outdoor parking, what’s to stop a Rye shopper from checking it out?
To debut late this summer or early fall is Shoe-Inn Shoes, which will fill the gap at the former Walden Books location. With ten stores currently in the Hamptons, New Jersey, and Connecticut, Shoe-Inn has been in business for over 35 years and plans to carry an extensive line of designer brands and labels. Also coming this fall is Massage Envy, going in the former Blockbuster space. A pioneer and national leader of affordable massage and spa services, this is one of 700 locations across the country.
The complex has been a happening place over the past year or so. Yoga and workout mavens will love Lv2bfit, the fashion fitness boutique, specializing in active wear and accessories. Their motto is “Accessorize? Or do you mean Exercise?” Fashion seekers will also enjoy Indigo Chic Boutique, contemporary women’s clothing and accessories with a European flair, and Z-Life Denim Lounge, which offers hand-picked designer clothes with a blend of East and West Coast casual sophistication.
For food, Chipotle has been a big hit with its overstuffed burritos and Mexican favorites. So has Chop’t with its creative salads. Other newer dining options are Buddha for Asian fusion specialties, hibachi and sushi; Elevation Burger, the organic hamburger chain, the first one in Westchester; and the frozen yogurt chain, Red Mango, which opened this past winter.
To keep shoppers healthy, the Blum Center for Health, which opened last year, is a functional medicine and lifestyle education center, offering everything from healthy cooking classes to more holistic mind-body and spirit programs. The center aims to provide the tools for living a vibrant and healthy life.
Of course, Rye Ridge Shopping Center continues to house all-time favorites that have been catering to the Rye community, in some cases for as many as 30 years. These include Sportech, Family Discount and ACE Hardware, Finch’s Drugs, Landsberg Jewelers, Cerbone’s Bakery, Ridge Barber, Racanelli’s Pizza and Brew, Park Ridge Deli, Dusty Rose, and many more. From kids’ programs to dance, exercise, and personal training, there’s something for everyone, plus the convenience of D’Agostino’s, so you can fit in a grocery run.
