4/14: Filet of Fishy. Suspicious vehicle, Rye Town Dock, 2:02 a.m. Driver, passengers were looking for a place to get some burgers. Sent on their way.
4/14: Orchard Avenue caller reported confused, possibly ailing goose in rear lot. GOA.
4/13: Telephone pole fuse switch fell on ground, Milton Road/Parsons Street. Schools without power. Con Ed notified.
4/13: Illegally parked vehicles blocking Milton Road sidewalk. Moved from location. Warning issued.
4/13: Wranglers. Caller reported many youths in Greenhaven area screaming at each other, were possibly involved with silver Jeep occupied by females. Canvassed area, negative results.
4/12: Raptor? Grizzly? Valleyview Avenue caller stated animal was under basketball hoop in her driveway.
4/12: Youth reported riding wheelies in between cars, creating hazard, nearly causing two motor vehicle accidents, BPR/Parsons Street. School security staff advised. Situation under control.
4/11: Quacking the whip. Caller stated suspicious car, occupied by someone wearing red was parked in field near duck pond, Rye Town Park, 9 p.m. Parties identified, escorted out of park.
4/11: Chamberlain Street complainant stated unknown party was ringing her doorbell. Officers checked exterior of residence, surrounding area, negative results.
4/10: Peck Avenue caller reported vandalism on her property.
4/10: Taxing situation. Caller reported unsafe traffic condition due to vehicles parked on side of road, Old Post Road, Playland Access Drive.
4/10: Complainant stated vehicle was blocking his Purchase Street driveway at rear of building by Crisfield’s/Capital One Bank.
4/10: Glen Oaks Drive caller reported 2-year-old male got out of house and she couldn’t find him.
4/10: MVA reported, pedestrian struck, Purchase Street/Highland Road. Hit-and-run.
4/9: Pricey Latte. Left (wrong) wheels parked to curb, Elm Place/Purchase Street. Summons issued.
4/9: Well-bread trash. Caller wanted to document an incident. Stated City of Rye DPW workers were taking fresh bread kept in garbage bin outside of Ruby’s. Foreman, advised of what was alleged, called men on that route. They explained it was mistake due to their being new on route. Assumed bread in bin was garbage. Foreman, complainant agreed to resolve issue.
4/9: Forest Avenue caller stated motorist was in his rear parking lot revving his engine, coming close to striking his vehicle. Arrested for DWI. Vehicle towed by Hannigan’s.
4/9: Metallica Lullaby? Walnut Street caller reported black Suburu in parking lot blasting music, operator asleep at the wheel, 11:12 p.m. Spoke with owner, advised music was too loud. He agreed to call it a night.
4/8: Weekend burglary, Old Post Road construction site. Recurring problem.
4/8: Infant accidentally locked in back seat of Toyota SUV. RFD responded, unlocked vehicle without damage. Child was asleep during encounter and was in good health.
4/8: Two men in black car reported engaging in sexual acts, Playland Park, 5:54 p.m.
4/7: Sound advice. Party observed walking in road at Milton Road/Parsons Street. Advised to walk on sidewalk.
4/7: Burt? Suspicious person. Male observed in parking lot, Locust Avenue. Party then disrobed, tried to swim in brook. Registration and i.d. checked out. Party directed to leave property, given direction to Interstate.
4/7: Kids reported throwing water balloons at passing cars, Club/Highland roads. Spoke with kids, agreed to stop.
4/5: Hillside Road caller stated her dog brought huge rabbit inside her house, 9 p.m. Animal removed from residence.
4/5: White female with braided blonde hair, wearing gray sweater, jeans, attempted to withdraw cash with bad check, Capital One Bank.
4/6: Locust Avenue construction before 10 a.m. Condition corrected, warning issued.
4/6: Subaru Forester left running, Highland Hall parking lot. Officer turned engine off, left note for owner to make contact if any issues found.
4/4: Suspicious person. Caller reported white male with beard wearing gray hoodie, black wool cap, acting strangely. Last observed walking southbound on Purchase Street.
4/4: Elderly man reported going through recycling on private property, Grace Church/Loder streets. Found party on Grapal Street, advised him not to walk on private property.
4/4: Rye Road complainant stated there was someone walking around outside her home with flashlight, and there was unknown car parked under street pole with no lights on. Canvas of area showed negative results.
