7/23 Disabled vehicle, Old Post Road/Thruway Access Drive, 1:15 a.m. Operator was Uber driver taking nap between jobs. Sent on his way.
7/23 Bradford Avenue complainant stated she was awakened by someone ringing her doorbell, 1:03 a.m. She said it could have been someone pranking her house. Neighborhood canvassed, all quiet.
7/22 Loose change. Purchase Street caller stated her vehicle was entered sometime in past three days. Approximately ten dollars removed, damage to center console.
7/22 Better cola cop. Complainant stated someone in passing car threw cup of soda at her, Central Avenue/Chestnut Street, 3:30 p.m.
7/22 Tinnitus probably. Leaf blower complaint, Jean Street. Observed for ten minutes, no leaf blower heard.
7/22 Island Drive complainant stated someone stole her son’s bike.
7/22 Robbin’ Hoods. Caller reported seeing two youths going into parked cars, then observed four parties going through his vehicle. Parties proceeded s/b on foot on Grandview Avenue, split up past Hillside Road, once units arrived on scene, 1:12 a.m. All wearing hoodies. Canvasses area, no results, nothing seen.
7/21 Prowler. North Street caller reported unknown parties knocking on her door, 11:54 p.m. Canvassed area, unfounded.
7/21 Illegally parked vehicle, Marine Unit Building. Summons issued.
7/21 Caller reported disoriented male with no shirt or shoes, American flag shorts, walking towards Port Chester, flagging-down cars in area of Fieldstone Road/Forest Avenue, 5:54 p.m. She was concerned for his safety. Party identified, limping due to foot laceration. Refused treatment, taken home by his brother.
7/21 Caller stated vehicle was parked blocking Walnut Street all day. Issued summons for blocking pedestrian access to home.
7/21 Breaking News from Fox – Leaf Blowers Are Hoax! Caller reported leaf blowers, Theodore Fremd Avenue, 4:10 p.m., GOA. Also reported in use, Fairlawn Court/Street. No leaf blowers used. Spoke to landscapers not using leaf blower, advised them of City Code.
7/21 Responded to complaint with Boat Basin supervisor of floating dock falling apart, Greenhaven Waterways. Tagged dock along with three other docks without permits.
7/21 Winthrop Street homeowner believed he heard someone open his mailbox, possibly attempt to enter his car, 2:25 a.m. Canvassed surrounding streets, nothing unusual.
7/20 Party stated neighbor was leaving harassing letter on her car, Purchase Street.
7/20 Mustangs? Road blocked by cars attempting to corral two loose dogs. Dogs returned to owner.
7/20 Caller reported delivery of jewelry to her Indian Hill Road home that she did not order.
7/20 Brevoort Lane complainant stated she believed unknown party entered her home, stole her cellphone sometime last week.
7/20 Group of kids reported riding bicycles, doing wheelies in middle of roadway creating hazard, Midland Avenue/Playland Parkway, 5:08 p.m. Youths attempted to evade, referred to youth officer.
7/19 Placed warning tags on three moorings, one float, from list of violations sent by Boat Basin Supervisor, Milton Harbor.
7/19 Multiple calls for three-vehicle accident with airbag deployment, Forest/Dearborn avenues, 12:18 p.m. RFD, EMS dispatched.
7/18 Rye Town Park Rangers requested assistance with intoxicated female, 5:49 p.m. Party admitted to having a few drinks, Rangers felt uncomfortable with her driving. She was happy to agree to park her car, walk to nearby friend’s house.
7/18 Complainant reported illegally parked vehicles on Dearborn Avenue. Two summonses issued.
7/18 Amazon Crime. Courtyard manager reported man who was not guest intentionally damaged TV remote control in lobby, then left. Subject was earlier arrestee. Sworn statement completed.
7/17 All together now…Don’t cry. Milk truck dumped several cases of milk, Playland Parkway/Access Drive, 7:36 a.m. Cartons removed from roadway for DPW pickup.
7/17 Tequila sunrise. Vehicle parked in RTP lot, 4:11 a.m. Parties walked back to vehicle, informed them park/beach closed at sundown. They left.
7/16 Noise Complaint. Caller advised on tipline there was noisy party, Colby Avenue/Fraydun Place, 11 p.m. Requested police intervention. Resident advised to lower noise.
7/16 Grace Church Street caller stated parties in rear yard were talking too loudly. Upon arrival, nobody came to door, Unable to hear anything from front of house.
7/16 Rye Manor complainant reported landscapers were running power equipment prior to 7:30 a.m. Workers advised of City Code.
7/16 Soundview Avenue neighbor’s teenage kids in vehicle were harassing complainant for calling police. Spoke to complainant and driver who was advised to leave location, 12:40 a.m.
7/16 Officer reported left shoulder injury while handcuffing suspect, 10:47 p.m.; officer reported spraining left wrist handcuffing suspect, 10:44 p.m.

7/15 Male caller stated there were four white and Hispanic men in their 30s sitting on bench in area of RTP duck pond. Said men were drinking, shouting racial profanities, 6:10 p.m. Condition resolved.
7/15 Poof. Suspicious vehicle. NY vehicle occupied by three parties driving northbound on Forest Avenue at high speed, 3 a.m. After turning around to pursue, Bronx-registered vehicle disappeared.
7/14 Current law, DOA. Leaf blowers reported in use in violation of City Code, Greenhaven/Rye roads, 9:21 a.m. – no blowers; and Dearborn Avenue/Everett Street, 8:23 a.m., GOA.
7/13 Two vehicles observed speeding eastbound on Playland Parkway, making unsafe lane changes, swerving. Both stopped, issued summonses.
7/11 Several calls regarding loud party/possible youths drinking, Forest Avenue, around midnight. Advised to keep noise down, bring party inside.
7/10 Caller stated partially dressed male was defecating in roadway, wearing white shirt/tan shorts, 5:11 p.m. EMS, unit dispatched.
7/8 Filler Up! Caller reported nobody working at Mobil gas station, Theodore Fremd Avenue, 9:04 p.m. People were taking products, leaving money on counter.
7/8 That’s gotta hurt. Kids reported diving into brook from Oakland Beach Avenue bridge. Youths identified, advised to cease behavior. Parents cleared children to walk home from scene.
7/7 Caller stated her son’s bike was stolen in last 30 minutes from in front of old Beverage Mart, BPR/Central Avenue, 3:08 p.m.
7/7 Caller reported unruly group of youth causing trouble, blocking roadway with bikes, Forest/Oakland Beach avenues, 3:52 p.m. Canvassed wide area. GOA.
7/7 Sleepy Hollow route? DPW advised there were two males sitting on bench, possibly unconscious, Purchase Street/Highland Road, 1:02 p.m. Parties were sleeping while waiting for MTA bus.
7/7 Watch a little Acorn TV? Complainant had squirrel in her playroom and was afraid it would escape to other rooms. Squirrel gone.
7/7 Box truck apparently abandoned for last few weeks. Vehicle previously summonsed. Towed by Vincent’s.
7/6 Complainant stated gray Nissan Altima followed her from Forest/Van Wagenen avenues to Playland Parkway, NY license plate, 6:38 p.m. Area canvassed. GOA.
7/6 Silt pajamas. Caller reported foul smelling bag in Port Chester Harbor. Police Boat 2 dispatched. Backpack filled with clothing, appeared to have been submerged for significant amount of time, filled with silt.
7/6 Local merchant complained about van parked for extended period on Elm Place. PEO assigned. NJ van scheduled to be towed next day if not moved.
7/6 Caller reported blue Honda Accord blocking their entrance. Plate belonged on white Jeep Cherokee. Car 12, detective sent.
7/5 Shore Road homeowner stated her family was out of town and she was advised by neighbor there were multiple people on her property who did not belong. House checked, appeared secure.
7/5 Rocky start. Observed vessel bearing RI registration transiting over Scotch Caps. Stopped for safety. Operator was new to boating and was informed of local underwater, navigational dangers. Vessel continued trip without incident.
7/5 Small group of kids reported making noise, destroying DPW property, Elmwood/Oakwood avenues, 2:56 a.m. Canvassed area, negative results.
7/5 Loud party reported, Dalphin Drive, 1:28 a.m. Spoke to homeowner, advised she take party inside.
7/4 Shocking! Officer reported kids with fireworks, Oakland Beach Avenue, 10:25 p.m. Dispersed. Also, kids reported setting off fireworks on Rye Golf course, 10:23 p.m. Area canvassed multiple times. GOA.
7/4 Property check, Purchase Street/Elm Place, 1:18 a.m. Observed truck parked, driver asleep. Dead battery. Operator was employee of USPS. Planned to seek assistance in morning.
7/3 Caller stated vessel broke loose from mooring, beached ashore on Hen Island. Owner will retrieve vessel.
7/3 Marriott employee stated there was individual whom they wish to be removed from property. Assisted in escorting three females, one male off property. Subjects left by taxi and on foot.
7/3 Guppy. Caller reported fishermen were keeping small fish, Rye Town Dock. Parties stated complainant had been drinking and being verbally abusive. Left prior to officers’ arrival.
7/3 Construction on holiday, Locust Avenue, 9:11 a.m. Contractor notified it was holiday. Stated they would wrap up work for the day.
7/3 Caller stated loud party was going on, 12:10 a.m., Dalphin Drive. Canvassed area, no loud party observed.
7/2 Loud party reported, Halsted Place, 11:32 p.m. Party cleared.
7/2 Bunch of youths reported in town not wearing masks, riding bicycles very fast on sidewalk and around, causing an issue. All seemed in order.
7/2 Stuyvesant Avenue resident reported boat stolen from his property. Marine unit dispatched.
7/2 PEO was handed money clip found by citizen in Station Plaza who found it by his car.
7/2 Sanctuary. Vessel in distress reported by PCPD. Four males in water off Edith Read, assisted to shore by two kayakers, using their kayak as float. EMS evaluated, no transport.
7/1 Halt! Drop that…Never mind. Caller reported white male, wearing all black, carrying large weapon westbound on Oakland Beach Avenue, 10:29 p.m. She also believed he might be wearing bullet–resistant vest. Party was walking with weighted fitness vest, carrying umbrella due to periodic rain showers.
7/1 At the buzzer. Caller reported large basketball game taking place on Osborn School grounds which were closed. Game over, players complied.
7/1 Bamboozled? Leaf blower reported, Island Drive, 11:45 a.m. After checking City website, determined Island Drive is R1 zone: leaf blowers allowed. No violation. (Actually, according to the City Code, leaf blowers are not allowed on residential property in any zone from May 1 through September 30.)
