2014
12/22 Arrested development. At 4:15 a.m., male entered HQ, identified himself, wanted to know if there was outstanding warrant for his arrest. Desk officer found one active warrant. Entrance door locked down. Units responded to process arrest.
12/16 Reindeer practice? Chamberlain Street resident’s son was awakened during night by strange sounds coming from outside, possibly from across the street in woods. Checked area, no animals or humans present.
12/15 Caller reported white male with brown hair committing sex act in his vehicle, car park 2. GOA.
12/11 Calling in slick. DPW notification requested by officer who noticed City roads were icing up.
12/9 Odiferous person reported in Post Office lobby, 10:37 p.m. Cars 15, 12 sent. Male dispersed.
12/9 Vehicle parked illegally on sidewalk next to Rye Grill & Bar. Summons issued.
12/8 Plates du jour. Grace Church Street complainant stated his new license plates were stolen from front porch after drop-off by FedEx. Delivery confirmed by company.
12/6 Adelaide Street callers reported they had left gas on for 5-6 hours. RFD dispatched.
2015
1/7 Suspected burglary. Officers responded to holdup alarm, Grandview Avenue. Parties on scene identified. Owner of house stated he authorized parties to break front door lock because keys were not working. Had alarm code. Other party said he was there to pick up carpet to be cleaned.
1/3 De-Café–d. Suspicious male reported in Starbucks. Party removed.
3/1 Red-tailed hawk, possibly injured, in westbound lane, Playland Parkway.
3/1 Intern? Male wearing a black knit cap, full-length gray coat walked into TD Bank, 12:43 p.m., handed teller note demanding cash. No weapon showed, camera had clear shot of perpetrator. Suspect left bank, entered parking lot near Carpet Trends, where he was seen smoking cigarette. Red dye hidden in cash pack activated. Perp left in very old rusty four-door sedan. RPD, County PD, FBI believed man was involved in other area bank robberies.
2/28 Deer on front step, Forest Avenue residence.
2/23 Caller reported two coyotes on Osborn Home property.
2/20 They’re letting anyone in the clubs. Female stated that, while walking dog at Apawamis Club, she was approached by coyote.
2/20 Peck’s Bad Boys. Large disorderly group walking northbound on BPR from Peck Avenue, warned twice against walking in roadway, obstructing traffic. Monitored group while walking to Village of Port Chester.
3/30 Same old. Multiple leaf blowers in use, Grace Church Street. Warning issued. Multiple leaf blowers, Greenhaven Road. Summons issued.
3/26 Blast from the past. Rock chipping before 9 a.m., Meadow Place, Highland Road. Stopped prior to officer’s arrival.
4/12 Free barking. Dog reported on Hillside Place property all day. Humane Society contacted.
4/3 Scam alerts. IRS scam, Relative arrest trick, Microsoft virus scheme.
2016
3/13 Oils well that ends well. Caller reported someone in black vehicle dumping oil into sewer drain, Orchard Avenue. Driver was underneath Nissan. Car 17, on scene, did not observe any violations.
3/9 Oughta be a law. Multiple leaf blowers, Rye Road/Woodland Drive. Summons issued.
3/7 Release the hounds. Cope Circle homeowner stated fox was running around in his backyard.
