Police Blotter 7/21/19
7/15: Unoccupied, white Honda parked with hazards activated, Forest Avenue/Playland Parkway, 1:15 a.m. Sticker showed vehicle valid out of New Jersey. Checked area for operators with negative results. Was a Zip Car.
7/15: Caller stated blue waterpipe cap was in middle of road causing traffic hazard, Locust/Theodore Fremd avenues. Condition corrected.
7/15: Guppies. Complainant stated people fishing on rock at Waters Edge, wanted them removed. Parties agreed to leave.
7/15: Male in gray shirt, gray pants reported sleeping on wall adjacent to sidewalk in Disbrow Park area, 3:20 p.m. Party was working in area, didn’t know how to get back to Port Chester. Gave him ride as far as Marriott.
7/15: Caller stated Apawamis Avenue neighbor was using leaf blower and that was an ongoing issue. GOA.
7/15: Cinema verité. “Mr. Robot” production team stated cone was moved out of parking spot and car was parked in said spot, 6:20 p.m. Trailer could not get out. Vehicle moved.
7/14: Car parked on side of road with running lights on, Midland Avenue, 2:29 a.m. Uber driver, asleep in front seat, needed a rest.
7/14: Motor vehicle accident with personal injury, car vs. bicyclist. Assisted with traffic and transporting victim’s bike to HQ for safe keeping.
7/14: Party reported large males having verbal argument in front of Barley Beach House restaurant. Parties dispersed without further incident.
7/13: Leaf blowers in use, Manursing Avenue. Summons issued.
7/13: Caller stated male was driving blue Jeep dumping empty mini-bottles of alcohol on side of road near Maple Street/Locust Avenue, possibly driving drunk. Vehicle found parked unoccupied. Spoke with party responsible for vehicle.
7/13: Walk-in wished to document attempt to create fraudulent bank account in her name.
7/13: Caller reported intoxicated male on bench in front of Coveleigh Club. Party given courtesy transport to Rye station for train home to Larchmont where his mother would meet him at station.
7/13: Huh? Suspicious person. Caller reported two males exited pickup, walked up and down Claremont Avenue with flashlights. One party was Port Chester firefighter looking for balloons stuck in power lines.
7/12: Assist citizen. Neighbor reported on Mead Pond Lane property after being notified of trespass several times.
7/12: A gray Caddy? Caller stated two white males wearing golf shirts were walking Fulton Avenue/Parkway Drive neighborhood looking at homes, being followed by gray SUV. Canvassed area, negative results.
7/11: Hyundai repossessed from Orchard Avenue location.
7/11: Party advised of parking complaint on Kirby Lane. Vehicles moved, warning issued.
7/11: Milton Road caller reported electrical wire was knocked down by branch, on front lawn of property. RFD, Con Ed notified.
7/10: Report of BMW that had not moved in weeks possibly with expired tags, inspection, Orchard Avenue. Parking summons issued, vehicle towed.
7/10: Party stated she was being harassed by co-worker at Post Office and supervisors were not correcting situation. Wanted to document issue.
7/10: Barley Beach House manager stated male in his 20s appeared to be passing out.
7/9: Caller reported truck had been sitting idle for some time, Purdy Avenue/First Street, 5:40 a.m. Vehicle was waiting for Hand Rolled Bagels to open at 6 a.m. Agreed to turn off truck while waiting.
7/8: Vehicle parked unoccupied, Rye Town Park, 1:16 a.m. Parties were hanging out with their dog. Advised they were parked illegally, ordered to leave area.
7/8: Compound infraction. Two summonses issued for dump truck blocking roadway, expired trailer registration, Highland Road.
7/7: Resident reported finding young child without parent walking around in area of Midland Avenue/Playland Parkway. Child returned to family.
7/7: Farmers Market reported unauthorized party selling merchandise. Was asked to leave.
7/7: Hacked. Call from taxi driver and who had backed into car causing minor damage, Vale Place.
7/6: Nailed. Construction before 10 a.m. Officers responded to request from Hewlett Avenue complainant. Upon arrival, witnessed and heard construction. Spoke to person in charge of worksite; explained City Code; issued summons; shut down work.
7/6: Central Avenue complainant stated she received package from Verizon she did not order.
7/6: Beeline bus observed on side of road near Playland Parkway. Spoke with driver. All okay, just taking a break.
7/4: “The British are coming!” Screaming, yelling reported coming from corner of Forest Avenue/Playland Parkway.
7/5: Male reported lying on side of Hillside Road, possibly intoxicated, 2:13 a.m. Party stated he was sitting on median waiting for Uber when he lay back and fell asleep. Vehicle arrived and all parties went on their way.
7/5: Several large trucks reported idling at 6:30 a.m. before construction start time. Advised to shut trucks off and keep them quiet until 7:30 a.m.
7/3: All too frequent story. Party stated she was almost run down in Forest Avenue crosswalk by motorist.
7/2: Waters Edge resident reported finding Mossberg pistol-handled shotgun in area of garage designated for trash.
7/1: Neighbor’s gardener was blowing leaves on complainant’s Kirby Lane property.
