The show combined education, artistic vision, and floral design mastery.

The Little Garden Club of Rye held its “Meet Me in the Meadow!” flower show at The Meadows in Harrison last month.

The show combined education, artistic vision, and floral design mastery. The entries were entered in a range of categories, including horticultural specimens and displays, flower arranging, education, and photography.

Show co-chairs Jean Taplett and Chris Duncan said the club hoped the show would drive home the importance of meadows in our ecosystem.

The show included an elaborate interactive exhibit that featured a giant wooden Northeastern Bluebird, built large enough so that a grown person could enter and learn everything about the New York state bird.
