3/12: Martin Road caller stated her husband is out of town and someone is knocking at her door. All appeared secure.

 

3/11: Strike one. Caller stated youths throwing snowballs in area of Evergreen Avenue. Officer dispatched.

 

3/11: Bow-not-so-Wow. Central Avenue complainant stated she was harassed by neighbor over walking her dog in the area. Officer dispatched.

 

3/11: Suspicious male reported riding around Lindbergh Avenue/Chamberlain Street area in red mini-van, knocking on doors.

 

3/11: Two large dogs reported running into Vale Place intimidating walkers and other dogs. Owner advised.

 

3/11: Ridgeland Terrace complainant stated someone attempted to take out credit card in his name.

 

3/10: Wappanocca resident reported harassment, said she met male on dating site, who continues to send text messages. Complainant to complete witness deposition.

 

3/9: Two suspicious males reported, Forest Avenue/Ridgeland Terrace. Identification checked out, from Manhattan and Bronx.

 

3/9: Unit 2 reported disabled vehicle, Purdy Avenue/First Street, leaking fuel. RFD, duty tow notified, responding.

 

3/9: Animal House. Franklin Avenue resident stated she arrived home to find an animal in her home. Did not know what it was. She ran outside. Handled by Car 15.

 

3/9: Manursing/Midland avenues, complaint of multiple illegally parked vehicles. GOA.

3/9: Suspicious SUV with lights on at bottom of roadway, Glen Oaks Drive/Florence Avenue, there for over an hour.

 

3/8: MVA, Purchase Street/Elm Place. Pedestrian struck, property damage.

 

3/8: Report of youths possibly smoking marijuana in red Jeep, Martin Road.

 

3/8: Strike three! You’re outta there. Youths throwing snowballs, Parsons Street/Rye Pres. Youths told to move it along.

 

3/8: Caller reported large water leak, Rye Beach. Rye Town Park supervisor, City Engineer, park caretaker on scene. DPW notified for sewer back-up.

 

3/8: Resident found cell phone in roadway. Stopped on BPR by detective and complainant, who were GPS-tracking lost phone. Phone returned.

 

3/8: Not even Jeter gets four strikes. Three teens reported throwing ice balls at passing cars, Milton Road/Rectory Street, last seen running towards Rye Rec/RAC. One teen described as wearing light-colored hoodie. 3/7: Subjects known to deal illegal drugs parked in front of Rye High School. Identified and released with warning.

3/6: Terrible Two’s? Mother stated 2-year-old daughter accidentally locked her out of house. Officer able to gain entry.

 

3/6: Purchase Street caller stated unknown male entered his basement during night, would like to file report.

 

3/6: Nearly Departed. DPW reported deer supposed to be deceased, now alive, Oakland Beach Avenue.

 

3/6: Dump & Run. Caller stated unoccupied dump truck parked for several days, Wilson Drive/Coolidge Avenue. Harrison truck. Unable to contact.

 

3/6: Suspicious vehicle reported, Old Post Road/North Street, blue compact type vehicle, “taxi” in yellow.

 

3/6: Female reported male walked into her Grace Church Street home, activated alarm, ran out.

 

3/5: Officer found infant in vehicle unattended. Confronted female upon her return regarding child left in rear of vehicle. She stated she was in rush to pickup another child, felt it was okay. Explained law and danger of her actions, released from scene with warning.

 

3/5: Captain’s Lane party reported livery vehicle approached girl while walking home. Blue vehicle.

 

3/5: Caller stated she observed possible drug activity. Two young males. Arrived on scene, spoke with two local youths just walking home. Brief interview, continued on their way.

 

3/4: Mead Pond Lane caller stated she found rear door open and purse missing. No sign of forced entry. Stated she would search house to see if purse misplaced.

 

3/4: Complainant stated basketball hoop in city right of way, Adelaide Street. Homeowner advised to move same.

 

3/4: Adelaide Street caller reported being threatened by neighbor.

 

3/4: Mead Place caller reported burglary at his place of business, believed he had act on tape. Detectives sent.

 

3/3: In arrears. Purchase Street caller reported hit and run, someone rear-ended his car.

 

3/3: Walk-in reported male acting strangely at Wells Fargo, possible skimming situation. No device found.

 

3/2: Reymont Avenue caller reported early construction, 9:49 a.m. Crew told 10 a.m. is start time.

 

3/2: Milton Road caller stated two youths at door asking for help. White Prius following them, caller refused help, sent them away. Officers found one youth in caller’s yard.

 

3/1: Decaf next time, guys. Report of young male making wheelies in road obstructing traffic, Purchase Street/Elm Place. Large group of youths i/f/o Starbucks.

 

2/28: Rules of the Road violation. Driver made left turn onto Purchase Street from Elm Place against posted sign. Summons.

 

2/28: Caller reported man with handgun in his waistband, Elm Place. Checked out/MOS (Member of Service) from other agency.

 

2/27: Deer reported, middle of road, Milton Road/US1 overpass. County Police to send maintenance.

 

2/27: Extra patrol, Johnson Place/BPR, larcenies from vehicles.

 

2/27: Check on high tide waters. Rye Marina. Water had not yet reached roadway/parking lot.
