Rye Town Park

A man was arrested on a charge of public lewdness after being found masturbating in a restroom at Rye Town Park. A woman entered the restroom and discovered a man with his pants down, exposing himself, and committing a lewd act. After speaking with witnesses, Police identified the offender as Kim Governali and arrested him. Governali, 51, of Nanuet, N.Y., was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Rye City Court on June 18.
Car Flipped
Boston Post Road
May 24, 6:29 p.m.
On Boston Post Road near the intersection of Playland Parkway and Boston Post Road, a man crashed his vehicle, damaging a fence. The man, 72, had to be cut out of his vehicle, which landed on its side. He was taken to White Plains hospital for an assessment, but was conscious and alert when he was loaded into the ambulance, assisting himself onto the stretcher. Fire officials freed the man and stabilized the vehicle.

A dispute between someone and their disgruntled former employee. Former employee was removed from the property by Police.
Leaf-blower code violations

Five calls were made for leaf-blower violations and two were considered “unfounded” by police. Police say that a group of residents is serving as self-appointed watchdogs to see the new leaf-blower code enforced. “We have probably 10 residents that drive around and call head-quarters when they see a violation, and then we have guys out there in between calls, that’s what they’re looking for,” police said.

A masked man wearing a hoodie was filmed entering an unlocked vehicle. There was nothing to take at the time and the individual left the scene. Police posted a video captured by the resident to their social media and confirmed it was the only video received of the individual and only report of a car entered. No leads at present. Potential use of facial recognition software being considered, depending on the clarity of the face captured.
Road-related incident
Midland Ave/Peck Ave
May 27, 10:37 a.m.
A large tractor trailer collapsed at its center, due to overloading. The breakdown obstructed the road for several hours, and residents were advised to seek alternate routes and avoid the area.
