Rye Police arrested a Rockland County man on Sunday for driving while impaired by drugs.
Cops received “several” reports around 12:45 a.m. on Dec. 7 of an “erratic” driver in an Audi Q5 on Forest Avenue in the Playland Parkway area.
Officers responded and located the vehicle, which had two flat tires on the driver’s side.
Cops stopped the driver, 40-year-old Vyacheslav Istomin, of Suffern, and administered a field sobriety test, which he allegedly failed.
Police arrested Istomin and charged him with driving while impaired by drugs, and transported him to Rye Police Headquarters. While at the station, officers also had Istomin provide two urine samples, which were sent Westchester County Lab for analysis.
Istomin was released, but is due back in Rye City Court on Dec. 16.
