A Port Chester man was killed Saturday after being struck by an oncoming train near the Rye train station, MTA police said.
The fatality occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 when Francisco Amezquita-Nunez, 48, was hit by an express train headed for Grand Central Station, MTA police spokesperson Meghan Keegan told The Record.
The train was taken out of service for MTA police to investigate, while passengers aboard the train were transferred to a local train and delayed for roughly 20 minutes, according to an Metro-North spokesperson.
