A Westchester County Court judge on Tuesday sentenced a 56-year-old Port Chester man to decades behind bars for sexually abusing a child.
Segundo Pucha-Carchi will serve 25 years in state prison for repeated instances of sexual abuse, as well as two to six additional years for bribery.
“Nobody, especially a child, should ever be subjected to the horrific sexual abuse this 12-year-old endured, only to then be forced to face her abuser in court after he refused to take responsibility for his abhorrent conduct,” Westchester District Attorney Susan Cacace said. “I commend this young survivor for the remarkable courage it took to come forward.”
Between December 2023 and October 2024, Pucha-Carchi coerced the 12-year-old victim, whose identity has not been released, into various sexual acts. After he was arrested in 2024, Pucha-Carchi then tried to influence the child’s testimony through bribery and witness tampering, according to the investigation.
The Port Chester man was originally convicted of child sexual abuse and bribery in June. On top of his prison sentence, Pucha-Carchi will also be registered as a sex offender and required to serve 20 years of post-release supervision.
