The Resurrection School community recently collected over 3,300 food items for the Meals on Main Street program in Port Chester. The goal of the campaign was to collect 1,000 cans, but through the generosity of so many, the number was more than tripled.
The eighth-grade class was in charge of loading up the Food Pantry Truck, which then headed to Meals on Main. The whole school — grades pre-K through 8 — joined to celebrate the endeavor.
Through a variety of community service programs throughout the school year, Resurrection encourages its students to put their “faith into action”.
