Yes, recycling batteries is possible because of a process called “hydrometallurgical extraction.” This process extracts metals — like lithium, cobalt, and lead — from the batteries, and the extracted metals are reused in new battery production.
Remember it is better to give than receive. Give your dead batteries to the Department of Public Works Office in Disbrow Park, Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
