This summer, Angela Galeano-Santiago will celebrate her tenth anniversary as a customer service and sales representative at the Ralph Borsella Allstate Insurance Agency on Elm Place.
Angie, as she is known to clients, moved to White Plains from Colombia with her parents when she was 3. After attending White Plains High School and Mercy College, she worked in another Allstate office, before a cousin arranged a meeting with Ralph Borsella.
Asked if anyone can learn to be a great customer service representative, Galeano-Santiago said, “Your true personality will always come through.” Her own personality is confident and friendly, which must have come in handy after Sandy caused extensive damage to clients’ homes. She and her colleagues could relate; their offices on Blind Brook flooded, forcing them to work on the second floor.
Angie loves working on the phone with longtime clients “some of whom I’ve never met,” and only occasionally gets one who is difficult to handle. She particularly enjoys working in a family atmosphere with Ralph Borsella, his daughter, Sara, and all of her colleagues.
She lives in White Plains with her husband Axel and their two young boys, Alexander and Matthew.
