RMS Staffer Tests Positive for COVD-19
The New York State Department of Health informed the Rye City School District last night, March 19, that a member of the Rye Middle School staff is exhibiting mild symptoms of the coronavirus and is at home under self-quarantine.
In a letter to the community, Schools Superintendent Dr. Eric Byrne shared the Health Department’s recommendation: Students, parents, faculty, and staff who were in the Rye High or Middle School building the week of March 9-13 should self-quarantine for fourteen days, starting with the last time they were in those buildings. “During this time, please monitor for any symptoms of illness and contact your health care provider if necessary.”
Dr. Byrne promises to provide additional information as it becomes available.
