Following strong showings in the 2024-25 regular season, Rye’s boys and girls both earned high seeds in the postseason, and the right to play on their home court all the way up to the Section 1 Class AA semifinals at Westchester County Center.
Rye Neck’s boys open the postseason at home, while the Panther girls start with a road matchup.
Rye girls
The Rye girls (17-3) earned the No. 2 seed, hosting No. 15 Somers (6-14) at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22.
If the Garnets win, they will host the winner of No. 7 Gorton (12-6) and No. 10 Yorktown (12-8) on Thursday, Feb. 27.
The winner of that matchup advances to the Section 1 Class AA semifinals March 4 at Westchester County Center.
Rye boys
The Rye boys (14-6) earned the No. 3 seed, hosting the winner of No. 14 Lakeland (10-10) and No. 19 Saunders (6-13) at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22. Rye didn’t play Saunders this season, but beat Lakeland 51-26 on Jan. 16.
If the Garnets win, they will host the winner of No. 6 Nycack (13-7) and No. 11 Eastchester (12-8) on Thursday, Feb. 27.
With two wins, Rye would advance to the Section 1 Class AA semifinals March 4 at Westchester County Center.
Rye Neck girls
The Rye Neck girls (10-9) won their last two games to earn the No. 10 seed, playing a first-round matchup Friday, Feb. 21 at No. 7 Irvington (12-8).
The winner plays a quarterfinal game at No. 2 Pelham (16-4) on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
The winner advances to the Section 1 Class A semifinals March 1 at Westchester County Center.
Rye Neck boys
The Rye Neck boys (13-7) capitalized on a 9-0 start to earn the No. 6 seed, hosting No. 11 Edgemont (11-9) on Friday, Feb. 21.
If the Wildcats win, they would either play at No. 3 Pearl River (14-6) or host No. 14 Pleasantville (6-14) in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
With two wins, Rye Neck would play in the Section 1 Class A semifinals March 1 at Westchester County Center.
