Rye schools will return from an extended winter break Wednesday, but on a two-hour delay.
Wednesday morning snowfall led to a delayed start for the Rye City and Blind Brook School Districts. The forecast calls for snow to stop before 9 a.m., with 1 inch of accumulation.
All school districts were canceled Monday and Tuesday following 15 inches of snowfall early in the week.
City council and board of education meetings scheduled for this week were postponed until March.
