Norah Murphy, diving for Coveleigh Club, placed first in the Westchester County Swimming Association Dive Championship, held July 22. Her cumulative score was 178.50, good enough to beat out second-place competitor Madeline Kenney of Shenorock Shore Club by a slim 4.30 margin.
Murphy, a rising Rye High senior, works with Coach Nick Turner at Coveleigh, and with Mike Darland at High Dive Champions in Purchase. On July 29, she and the other winners from different age brackets were honored at Playland.
