The Rye girls basketball team wrapped up the pre-holiday schedule with another league win Monday. That the victory came against crosstown rival Harrison was the bow on top of the Garnets’ 6-0 start to the season.

Rye beat the Huskies 58-33, led by freshman Charlotte Storz. With 23 points, six steals, and three assists, the second-year varsity guard was named the Rye Rotary Challenge MVP. It’s the third time this season Storz logged four or more steals.

A trio of Garnets grabbed 10 rebounds: sophomore guard Stella Maresca, who also had 16 points and four assists; senior forward Phoebe Greto, who added six points; and junior Frankie Chiaravalle, who scored four.

The team will close out the year with a tournament Dec. 29-31 in Florida and resume league play Jan. 3 against Westlake at Westchester County Center.
