RYE HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2019
The sun came out just in time for the 88th Rye High School Graduation on Saturday, June 15. Two hundred and twenty-three students proceeded from the school to Nugent Field, where a throng of family and friends greeted them.
Principal Patricia Taylor welcomed the crowd and Superintendent Dr. Eric Byrne offered his congratulations.
The traditional Latin Oration was delivered with wit and style by Emma Capaldi, Emma Dempster, Julia Laber, Delucia Lepore, Jonathan Lloyd, Ashley Palermo, and Iman Syed.
The musical high notes were many thanks to the skills of Ella Garnett, Faith Bennett, Cian Galligan, Alaire Kanes, Micaela LaPointe, Christian Olmos van Velden, Lily Polito, Sasha Spitz, and Samuel Tuch.
Sebastián Román gave a humorous Senior Oration. Class President John Tartaglia presented the class gift.
Nicole Francis delivered the Salutatory Address, and Sonia Eckstein the Valedictory Address.
School Board President Karen Belanger was pleased to present diplomas to the RHS class of 2019.
