Supporting Local Causes
Proceeds from the St. Patrick’s Day Ball will directly support 2029 Fundraising in helping local organizations and individuals in times of need. Since its last fundraiser in May, the charity has supported important local causes, including: $10,000 in financial aid to assist a Westchester-based resident following a tragic loss; a $7,000 donation to the Rye Free Reading Room in support of its bi-annual Novel Night fundraiser; a $5,000 donation to Rye Recreation Camp Scholarship; $2,500 to support the Wainwright House’s Fonrose Cottage refurbishment project; and sponsorship of local sports teams and community initiatives like the Rainbow Run.
“As firefighters, our work is centered on helping those in need during extremely challenging and unforeseen crises and events,” said Sal Inguanti, president of the 2029 Fundraising charity. “Through our fundraising efforts, our goal is to extend that mission beyond emergency services to support the broader community.”
