A Rye resident may have painted himself into a corner.
Rye police on Thursday announced the arrest of Max G. Basch, 36, of Rye following an alleged graffiti incident on July 28.
Basch was charged with criminal mischief in the second degree (felony) for making graffiti after patrol officers allegedly found him in possession of graffiti instruments and discovered graffiti on a Con Edison electrical substation near the multi-street intersection of Midland Avenue, Grace Church Street, and Manursing Avenue.
Photos submitted by Rye police show paintings of multiple tigers, one with and one without stripes.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
