Two Rye girls advanced to USA Diving Nationals last week. Devon Ott (age 11) placed 1st on 1m, 2nd on Platform, and 3rd on 3m at Zones at the University at Buffalo. Her teammate, Carolina Sculti (age 14) placed 1st on all three boards.
Of the 80 players from Westchester and southern Connecticut who competed in the Metropolitan Golf Association Boys’ Junior Championship Qualifier held at Rye Golf Club June 26, six hailed from Rye. James McHugh, 15, who came in 2nd at one under par, and Philip Malina, 16, who came in 10th at two over par.
