…Walter Roode, 87, who hit a hole-in-one on the 17th hole of the Rye Golf Club course on September 14. The former Chief of the Rye Fire Department and foreman of the Rye Department of Public Works, was playing with Bob Marrow, who informed us of the exciting news and the fact that the hole is 125 yards from the tee.
