Rye Town Park Reaching Out to Residents With Special Season Permit Rates

Rye Town Park wants Town and City of Rye residents to come on down this summer. In particular, the Commissioners want residents to buy season permits and take full advantage of the beautiful park at Oakland Beach. So they’re offering “high tide” benefits at “low tide” cost.

Rye Town Park wants Town and City of Rye residents to come on down this summer. In particular, the Commissioners want residents to buy season permits and take full advantage of the beautiful park at Oakland Beach. So they’re offering “high tide” benefits at “low tide” cost.

A season permit (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend) for a family (children must be under 18) is only $150. Individual adult permits are just $110. Senior permits (ages 62 and older) are $20 and include free parking. Platinum family permits also include free parking.

Parking for permit holders is deeply discounted. These discounts include the daytime beach season, as well as the pre-and post-season periods.

And the more permit holders go to the beach, the more they’ll save. With gas prices reaching new heights, Rye Town Park is even more of a “stay-cation” bargain.

To make sure all residents got the news, the Commissioners are doing a 23,000-piece mailing to all Town and City of Rye households. The letter, which will be mailed later this month, includes a detailed description of the season permit benefits, along with a permit application form to speed the permit process along.

Residents can mail the completed forms back, with payment by check made out to Rye Town Park or providing credit card information. Or, they can bring them to the Park permit office, which will be open Wednesdays through Sundays, starting May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New permit holders will have to provide proof of residence, and they’ll have to stop by the park’s permit office in the “towers” building to receive photo ID cards.

For further information and details, call the park at 967-0965 or visit www.ryetownpark.org.
