The Rye volleyball team’s eight-match win streak was snapped Monday night at Somers.
The Garnets won the first set before falling 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-20.
Stat leaders for Rye (9-2) were senior Valeria Medina, with nine kills and 13 digs; junior Amelie Modesto, with 37 assists; senior Emma Lunstead, with 11 digs and three aces; and senior Phoebe Greto with a pair of blocks.
The Garnets’ next match is Wednesday against Byram Hills at home, where they haven’t lost a set in two matches.
