The Westchester Children’s Museum announced that Eric Byrne, the retiring superintendent of schools in Rye, will be a new museum trustee.

Byrne, of Norwalk, Conn., has been schools superintendent since 2017 and serves on the Children’s Museum’s Exhibit and Education and Audit committees.

The museum also named two other new trustees, as it starts its search for a new executive director.

One, Meghan Drummond, of Katonah, works as director of auditory sciences for Regeneron Genetic Medicines at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. She has been helping the museum develop a STEM program.

The other, Marley Kamford, of Greenwich, Conn., is managing director and chief talent officer at JLL Partners, a middle-market private equity firm based in New York City. She is a member of the museum’s executive director search committee;

The search committee is looking for someone to replace Thomas Sullivan, who left Westchester in December to become chief executive officer of the Cayton Children’s museum in Santa Monica, Calif.

The museum, which will celebrate its centennial in 2028, is located on the Playland Beach Boardwalk in the historic North Bathhouse. It welcomed more than 100,000 visitors in 2024 and boasts a membership roster of more than 2,000.
