Friends of Rye Scouting is hosting its annual poker tournament on Friday, Jan. 30 at 6:15 p.m. at Wainwright House.
Proceeds will benefit the scout camps of the Greater Hudson Valley Council of Scouting America.
Now in its 22nd year, the tournament is hosted by Bill Langham, president and director of Friends of Rye Scouting, and Paul Knudsvig, director of Rye Scouting. This year’s proceeds will go towards funding “much needed” used buses to transport scouts and staff around the Read Scout Reservation, according to the event website.
