Easter wouldn’t be complete without a second serving of Hamm.
Season 2 of “Your Friends & Neighbors” premiered on Apple TV+ over the holiday weekend, and once again, the series starring Jon Hamm, Olivia Munn, and Amanda Peet includes several scenes shot in Rye.
Astute viewers will spot at least two restaurants on Purchase Street in Rye: Aurora and Ruby’s Oyster Bar & Bistro. Other Westchester County locations this season include The Brazen Fox in White Plains and Westchester County Airport.
The first episode of Season 2 premiered April 3, and following episodes will release on the streaming platform every Friday until June 5. The show focuses on a hedge fund manager who resorts to burglary after losing his job, targeting wealthy neighbors to maintain his family’s lifestyle. He makes a fateful error, breaking into the wrong home.
“Your Friends & Neighbors” is set in the fictional town of Westmont — presumably based on Westchester. Jonathan Tropper, the show’s author, was born in the Bronx, and moved to New Rochelle after getting married and having kids. Season 1, which premiered in April 2025, had scenes shot in Sunshine Coffee Roasters in Rye. Many other area businesses, like June & Ho and Water Moon, were also visible.
Locals have spotted Hamm and the rest of the cast around town during filming of the past two seasons. They may get yet another chance to see the former “Mad Men” star in action, as “Your Friends & Neighbors” has already been renewed for a third season.
