Scarlett Sulliman and Max Twyman were named Outstanding Athletes of the Year on May 30 during Rye High School’s annual senior sports award dinner. Athletic Director Robert Castagna presented awards.
Sulliman won the second annual Mary Henwood Award for her performances in field hockey and lacrosse. The award is presented to the student who is athletic, passionate, caring, and above all modest.
She helped guide the lacrosse team to the State Final Four.
Twyman received the Butch Nordstrom Award for giving everything he had at every moment in every practice and game. He’s been a part of the basketball program in Rye since seventh grade. He was a four-year varsity player and member of the 1,000-point club.
