Stephen DeMarco of Deerfield Beach, Florida passed away on November 23, 2020 at Boca Raton Regional Hospital surrounded by loving family. He was 67.
Originally from Rye, N.Y., he was the eldest child of Stephen and Doris DeMarco.
He attended Resurrection Grammar School, Rye High School, and Roger Williams College in Rhode Island.
After relocating to Florida to assist his parents, he found his passion — helping those in need — and worked as admissions director for the Watershed in Delray, where co-workers became his extended family.
During his more than thirty years as a Deerfield Beach resident, Mr. DeMarco could be found snorkeling or surfing the beach, taking his dog on long walks, visiting Vizcaya, or riding his motorcycle.
“Known for his ear-to-ear grin and keen sense of humor, Stevie will be deeply missed,” said his family.
He is survived by his mother, Doris; his siblings, Dawn (Pierro), Guy, and Michael; and his nieces and nephews, Michelle, Jennifer, Jacqueline, Alene, Guy Jr., Jessica, and Michael. He was predeceased by his father.
A private family service was held in Rye. Donations in Steve DeMarco’s memory may be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
