The Rye Y Wave Ryeders began the year with a splash, with wins over JCC Scarsdale,Greenwich Boys & Girls Club, and Harrison Swim Team.
The Rye Y Wave Ryeders began the year with a splash, with wins over JCC Scarsdale, Greenwich Boys & Girls Club, and Harrison Swim Team. Their one loss so far was to the JCC Manhattan Thunderbirds on January 25. On Super Bowl Sunday, the Wave Ryders topped Yonkers Rec in a home meet.
Coach Kate Tiedemann said, “The team is feeling optimistic about the rest of the season. We’ve had some great swims this season, particularly in the 8- and 10-year- old age groups.”
Next up are the League Championships at the end of February and the YMCA State Championships in March.
