Sophia Aklog, a senior at Rye Country Day School, has been named a Semifinalist in the 2015 National Achievement Scholarship Competition. Conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, the NASC was initiated in 1964 to recognize academically promising black students throughout the nation.
