Make This Holiday Season Bright for Rye Merchants
As the holiday season approaches, Lola, in Rye, like main street retailers everywhere these days, faces daunting challenges.
We love Rye and appreciate its special characteristics. We are proud to support local organizations and events, including the Chamber’s Mistletoe Magic, Soul Ryeders, the Y, Taste of Rye, and the Carver Center. We actively participate in the Rye High School House Tour, as well as events for the Rye Garnets. Local kids paint on our windows, and not a few of them have gone on to have their first jobs in our store, or other stores in town.
But now, more than ever, we need the support of the Rye community.
Parking has become incredibly challenging and the Internet brings goods directly to everyone’s door, but to keep our downtown prosperous we need everyone to shop. Without a thriving, vibrant downtown retail scene, Rye will not be the same.
Shop local, shop often, and support the stores you love. Shops may “pop up” in empty storefronts for the holidays but remember the shops that sustain the town throughout the year.
