The trend in Rye mirrored that of the state and county. Trump’s increased New York margins, including those in Rye, helped contribute to his popular vote victory nationwide.
Ward, 56, ran unopposed when his Republican challenger, Rick McCabe, dropped out citing health issues in September.  
Flisser, who served one term as mayor of Scarsdale from 2011 to 2013, describes herself as “a pediatrician not a politician.”
McCabe's sudden departure effectively ends the City Council race and hands the seat over to Democratic candidate James Ward. 
Forty-eight percent of voters support Latimer while 31 percent support Bowman, according to the Emerson College Polling/PIX11/The Hill survey.
