Early returns show Nambiar garnering 65 percent of the vote, according to unofficial tallies from the county Board of Elections.
One thing both candidates seemed to agree on was that the crown jewel of the Westchester public parks system does not need to be profitable.
The ruling did not accept van Kuller’s allegation that Nambiar made a false claim and concluded that van Kuller made misleading attacks on Nambiar.
Van Kuller also accused Nambiar of inflating his resume by claiming that he has 15 years of public service when he has only served in office for five.
Both candidates are running on controlling Con Edison’s energy rates, flood mitigation, and addressing the high cost of living in Westchester.
Van Kuller will face off against Anant Nambiar, Rye City Democratic Committee's nominee, to replace outgoing lawmaker Catherine Parker.
