She had an illustrious career in education, including as the director of special education at the Harrison School District and interim principal at the F.E. Bellows school in Rye Neck.
In 2023, she moved to Rye to be closer to her two children and grandchildren, joining her daughter and son-in-law in their home on the campus of Rye Country Day School.
Nicola started his professional career in mechanical engineering with a private consulting firm in Rye, then moved on to work for the city of White Plains.
She was staff photographer for The Rye Record, was an avid bridge player, member of the One World Book Club, and participated in the Rye Garden Club plant exchanges.
