John was a proud alumnus of Resurrection Grammar School and Rye High School, and was a longtime member of the Rye Volunteer Fire Department.
After graduating from Rye High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1961, upon which he was honorably discharged and bestowed a Good Conduct Medal.
Beth Dater's career in investment management spanned 50 years, starting with a stint at Lehman Brothers, and then joined Fiduciary Trust Company of New York in 1970 where she became a vice president and U.S. equities analyst, specializing in the newspaper and media industries.
Alexander also worked as a substitute teacher for the Rye City School District, and he worked as a youth basketball, football and as a baseball coach.
Kathy had a quick wit, and was a loyal friend, a loving grandmother, mother and wife, and most certainly, her parents' favorite daughter.
Dick was a lifelong resident of Rye and graduate of Rye Country Day School.
A funeral will be held at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye on Sept. 11, and a Mass of Christian burial will be on Sept. 12.
