Congratulations to the Rye High School students who earned 2013 AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their outstanding scores on the Advanced Placement Exams. The College Board presents these awards to students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through AP courses and exams.
Thirteen students earned the status of National AP Scholars, a title presented to students who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken.
Seventy-seven students were named AP Scholars with Distinction for receiving an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken.
Fifty-five students were named AP Scholars with Honor, for receiving an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken.
Sixty-five were recognized as AP Scholars, for receiving scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.
Principal Patricia Taylor said, “I offer my personal congratulations to the students and faculty on their outstanding successes. Participation in the Advanced Placement program requires commitment and dedication towards the pursuit of the rigorous, college preparatory offerings.”
