In August 2013 Brad Berman was training for the NYC Marathon when he was stricken with a massive brain hemorrhage, which placed him in a coma for a month. When he woke up, the father of two young children had to relearn how to walk, talk, breathe, and just about everything else.
With support from his wife Jessica, and the athletic community, especially his friends at Sportech in Rye Brook, he continues to make a miraculous recovery. The Run 4 Brad project’s mission is to help raise money for people with brain injuries, initially by building a lower limb rehabilitation robotic clinic at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains.
On Saturday, March 21, participants with a wide range of skills will come together for a night of tennis to support Run 4 Brad, 7-10 p.m., at Life Time Fitness, 1 Westchester Park Drive, West Harrison. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced tennis player, come support the cause, drink, eat, and have fun.
