Rye Rotary presented the Sportsmanship Award at its December 2 meeting, recognizing the student/athletes from Rye and Harrison who compete in the long football rivalry. Each team selects a player from the opposing team who characterizes the ideals of sportsmanship.

In 2011, members of the Harrison High team selected Rye High senior captain Jake Meyerson as the Rye Award recipient. He received the award from Rotarian Scott Pickup as Coach Bruno looked on.
