Tiffany C. O’Toole, a beacon of courage and generosity, passed away on June 27, after a valiant battle with ovarian cancer. Born on April 9, 1969, in White Plains, N.Y., Tiffany’s zest for life and unwavering spirit touched everyone she met. She departed this world in Rye, N.Y., peacefully, with her loving family beside her, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and faith.
Tiffany’s early years in White Plains were filled with the joy of family and the pursuit of knowledge. The youngest of seven children, she was a bright and inquisitive child who carried her passion for learning through to her adult life. She earned her way through college working as a model with the Ford Modeling Agency. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland in 1991, Tiffany embarked on a distinguished career in the financial sector. As a successful wealth management leader, private banker, and relationship manager, she made her mark at several prestigious firms, including Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Bank of New York, Fleet Boston, Bloomberg, Quick & Reilly, and National Discount Brokers. Her professionalism and integrity were hallmarks of her career, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tiffany’s life was filled with the love and warmth of her family. She is survived by her devoted and adoring husband, Douglas Flaherty, and her cherished children, Thomas Flaherty and Teaghan Flaherty. Tiffany was a loving sister to Dory O’Toole, Lizanne O’Toole (Louis), Robert O’Toole (Kim), and Timothy O’Toole (Joanie), and she held dear the memory of her late brothers Brendan O’Toole (Joan) and Thomas. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews, Lagen Nash (Matthew), Tate Behrens (Max), Jacqueline O’Toole, Aidan McIntyre, Tanner McIntyre, Christine O’Toole, Jonah O’Toole, Spencer O’Toole, Robbie O’Toole, Collin O’Toole, Jameson O’Toole, Declan O’Toole, Lachlan O’Toole, Eamonn Flaherty, Abaigh Flaherty, Julia Roy, and Carly Rose Roy. Tiffany was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Edward O’Toole and Dorothy Joan O’Toole, and her niece and goddaughter Fallon O’Toole McIntyre.
Tiffany’s personal interests were as vibrant and diverse as her personality. An avid Soul Cycle enthusiast and runner, she was passionate about women’s and men’s college basketball and was a staunch advocate for cancer awareness and prevention. Traveling the world and experiencing new cultures brought her immense joy, but it was the time spent with family that she treasured most. Tiffany’s life was a testament to her faith-filled nature; her belief in the goodness of others and her unwavering trust in God’s plan guided her through life’s challenges and her six-year fierce battle with cancer.
Friends and family will remember Tiffany as a woman who lived her life with tenacity, courage, and grace. She faced adversity head-on, never allowing it to diminish her spirit or her capacity to give. Tiffany’s generosity extended beyond her immediate circle, impacting the lives of many through her kindness and charitable work. Her impact on people was palpable and boundless, from her family and friends to complete strangers.
As we bid farewell to Tiffany, we celebrate a life that, though cut short, was lived to the fullest. Her legacy of love, strength, inspiration, and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Tiffany’s radiant smile, inner and outer beauty, selflessness, and unwavering positivity will be profoundly missed, but the countless beautiful memories she created will forever be a source of comfort and joy to all who loved her.
In honoring Tiffany’s remarkable life, we are reminded of the beauty of a life well-lived and the enduring power of the human spirit. Her journey on this earth may have ended, but her light will never fade. Tiffany will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide us, just as the stars guide the voyager across the night sky. Rest in peace, dear Tiffany, until we meet again.
